The Allegheny Riverfront District Collaborative is a consortium of stakeholders from Allegheny riverfront communities including Aspinwall, Sharpsburg, Etna, Millvale, O’Hara Township and Fox Chapel who are committed to ensuring responsible redevelopment of 47 acres of underutilized riverfront.
We believe that we are witnessing a moment of unprecedented opportunity and we are committed to working with the property’s owners and stakeholders to ensure that the riverfront transforms from a largely blighted industrial wasteland to a place that enlivens our communities with recreational, cultural and tax-generating developmental opportunities.
The purpose of this group is to share accurate and timely information with stakeholders and that the voices of all communities who may be impacted by riverfront renewal are heard.
VISION
At nearly 1.5 miles, the Allegheny Riverfront District is the largest underutilized riverfront land in the region. The Mosites Company (Mosites) and Allegheny Development Partners (ADP) want to ensure a world-class responsible development that positively impacts all communities.
Development of the site will improve the quality of life for residents by creating job growth and economic opportunities in nearby communities, expanding the park and trail system by linking the Three Rivers Heritage Trail to Downtown Pittsburgh and by providing a significant tax-generating opportunity for boroughs.
